Upon dealing damage to a dragon, players are entitled to receive a chest containing the rewards, after each chest the Dragon becomes more powerful and the difficulty increases. There are three types of chests with different sets of rewards and different probabilities of obtaining them. The higher the level of the dragon, the better the reward.
